“Maybe after this we could go back to my place?”
“I shouldn’t,” said Alicea. “I’m wiped. It’s been such a long week that, as much as I love hanging out with you, I really need to get home and get some sleep.”
“Of course,” said Sven. “I get it.”
“But I’ll see you next week for sure.”
“What about Wednesday?”
Alicea froze. “Wednesday?”
“Yeah. Remember we added that to the schedule?”
“Oh, I thought those two times were just to make up for the weekends I missed when I was on vacation.”

“Maybe you could come with,” she said, halfheartedly.
“No, that’s OK. I don’t want to intrude.”
“Not at all,” Alicea said as she silently wondered what Kira and everyone else would think of “that creepy Sven guy” joining their group. “I think you should meet them. I think it would be good for all of you.”
“Only if you’re sure I wouldn’t be intruding.”
“I’m sure,” said Alicea, who was not at all sure.
To be continued…
