This book isn’t any better written than its prequel, but it’s just as much fun to hang out with these characters in their crazy world.

Made with Love: Part II
“You’ve known for a long time now when your birthday is, so you knew I needed to know what you wanted by the end of the week last week if you wanted a homemade cake.”
The Everlasting Rose
I’m still not a fan of the super-flowery prose Clayton likes to use, but the whole premise was just so much fun, not to mention the social commentary.
Made with Love: Part I
Mom tried not to resent her children as she mixed all the ingredients together and popped each pan in the oven.
The Great Believers
I had heard good things about this book, but I wasn’t prepared for how it sucked me into the lives of these characters, who all felt so real.
Sven: Part X
“He hit you and he’s been harassing you ever since. You don’t think it’s a problem that someone who’s capable of all that knows where you live?”
Mansfield Park
This book review is in defense of Jane Austen’s novel, Mansfield Park, which I have always loved, and continue to love as much as ever.
Sven: Part IX
“I’m just tired.” said Alicea, “No, that’s not it,” said Fiona. “Or at least, that’s not the whole story. What’s really bothering you?”
The Last Days of Night
This historical fiction novel is fun and fast paced and I enjoyed every page of it, even if the rest of my book club is a bunch of party poopers.
