The only thing the author got right about this sequel was the characters, and I did love getting to hang out with them again.

He had so much potential, but there he was, just sightseeing with his kids. Said he was taking some time off.

I’m not a parent, but I’ve discovered I still don’t like books in which bad things happen to children.

What if Mary Ann Evans had chosen not to use a pen name? Would her work be as widely available as it is today?

Is this book about gender dynamics, or is it about the nature of power and what it does to people? Can it be both?
