I had never heard of this book before my book club elected to read it. The more I think about it, the less I liked it.

“You tricked me. You lured me with promises of fancy hotel rooms and drinks with little umbrellas in them.”

I appreciated the information I got from this book, even as I was amused by the author’s condescending attitude toward his colleagues.

He took his phone out of his pocket and pretended to scroll through something while he waited for his prey to approach.

I’m so glad NPR alerted me to this audiobook because it is fabulous and the narrator is fantastic. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Sarah opened the trunk. Sure enough, there was the spare tire. Now how was she supposed to get it onto the car?

I would expect a diary to be dry and boring but that was certainly not the case here!

“We’ve been here a month, all these new people, you don’t think any guy,” she raised her eyebrows in a question “girl? Is cute?”
