I’ve learned so much about all kinds of women writers from listening to this podcast and this graphic novel serves as a kind of highlight reel.

“You were the one who convinced me to go on the date in the first place and now it sounds like you’re trying to talk me out of seeing him again.”

This book discusses racism while experimenting with the novel as a literary form and I couldn’t ask for more.

“How do you even know the exact moment when people are sitting down to their dinners? How do you always manage to time it so perfectly?”

I really wanted to enjoy this classic by Junot Diaz, but it was just so sexist! Despite the beautiful language, I skimmed most of it.

As a work of fiction, I can’t recommend this book, but as an Intro to Financial Literacy, I definitely think it has value.
