I was so excited to get to hang out with these characters again and this unexpected sequel did not disappoint. I cannot wait for Book 3!
Month: January 2020
Brittney: Part V
As she went about unpacking her things, she promised herself she would never go back to living with her parents, even if it meant living on the street.
Black Leopard, Red Wolf
I really wanted to love this book, but I just didn’t.
Brittney: Part IV
Brittney thought of her anger like the boiler in “The Shining,” she had to release the pressure every so often or she would explode. She couldn’t afford to explode.
Find Me Their Bones
I didn’t love the narrator of this audiobook, but listening to it was better than not getting to enjoy the sequel at all.
Brittney: Part III
Brittney waited for someone to ask what she wanted and it took a while for her to figure out they thought they already knew.
Educated
I wasn’t sure I wanted to read this book, but now I’m glad my book club convinced me to do so.
Brittney: Part II
Brittney’s father was a coward and they both knew it, but they both pretended otherwise.
The Testaments
I only listened to this audiobook because my book club elected to discuss it, but I ended up really enjoying it. I especially recomment the audio version.
Brittney: Part I
It might be a dark alley, but it’s her dark alley, and it’s her choice to go there.
