Eliza could barely contain her excitement until she ended the call with her very own agent.

This is an excellent middlegrade novel that I would recommend to readers of all ages.

I’m great! My biggest competition just took herself out of the running.

I would have liked these books better without the macho BS, but at least it (mostly) acknowledges its own macho BS.

Eliza gets busted for not telling Angela she had been accepted by the same school.

Julia’s ebullience jumps off the page and it’s infectious.

Ithaca was a great college, but Juilliard was … well, Juilliard.

This book uses an unlikely friendship to demonstrate both sides of an ugly, long-lasting war in the Middle East and it is masterfully done!
