This book is more of a broad overview of the time period than a deep dive into any one aspect of itand I’m OK with that.

Sister-in-Law: Part XIV
Was he already taking my mom away from me? Was this how it was going to be from now on?
The World We Make
I’m so glad I listened to this one on audio because the narrator is phenomenal! Plus they had sound effects and even music!
Sister-in-Law: Part XIII
My mom was the one who told me the importance of smiling as much as possible when you’re around men, so I had heard her fake giggle plenty of times.
Paris Daillencourt is About to Crumble
I didn’t like this book as much as I enjoyed Hall’s other stuff, mostly because I found the main character to be insufferable.
Sister-in-Law: Part XII
My mom giggled — Giggled! I had never heard her giggle before — then she grabbed our bags and led us to the car.
Ayesha at Last
This is a decent retelling of Pride and Prejudice, but the audiobook narrator did a terrible job, so I can’t recommend this one on audio.
Sister-in-Law: Part XI
He pulled me to him and kissed me deep while I thought about how excited my mom would be to hear this had been so easy!
Trust
This book is about so many things! It’s about wealth and power, but it’s also about who gets to tell their own stories.
