Yay! Master is home from the trip he takes every year. I don’t know where he goes, but I’m glad he’s back now to take me for long walks in the woods.
He seems sad, though. Why is he sad? He normally loves his trips. Everyone else loves them. They’re all happy. I hate it when Master isn’t happy.
I know! We can play fetch! “Let’s play fetch, Master! Come on! Please?”
Oh, boy, a bone! My favorite thing!
You might not think long walks or chewing bones would be as much fun without a body, but actually they’re more fun! Without a body, I don’t have to stay low to the ground. I can go anywhere I want, and I can go much faster than I ever could with that big, heavy body slowing me down. As for bones, they’re just as tasty as ever.
Oh! Hey, we’ve never been to this part of the woods before. I wonder what’s over here. What does this smell like? Oh, this smells very interesting. “Hey, Master! Come see what I’ve found!”
Whoa, there’s a door in that tree? Wait! Master! Where did you go? Why didn’t you take me with you?
OK, I’ll just wait here until you get back…
There you are! I waited right here the whole time! Well, OK, I might have had to chase an undead rabbit away from the tree, but that was for your own protection.
You smell funny. Where are we going? Back to town? I’ll lead the way!
Hey, everyone! Master’s back! I don’t know where he went, but he’s back and he’s happy again and it’s all very exciting!
To be continued…
