I had never heard of this novella by J. Sheridan Le Fanu, which apparently predates, and almost undoubtedly inspired Dracula.

This is a beautifully-written book in which the prose often feels like poetry.

I read this book because I’m a psychology junkie, but you don’t need any kind of background in psychology in order to understand and enjoy this book.
