I was so excited to get to hang out with these characters again and this unexpected sequel did not disappoint. I cannot wait for Book 3!

This little girl is far more resourceful than most adults, much less children her age, and her story of repeated abandonment is heartbreaking.

I knew nothing about the true events on which this book is based until after the book came out and I’m so glad Whitehead decided to write it.
Circe
Telegonus pretty well summed up this book with, “Gods and fear, gods and fear.”
The Wedding Gift
This book deals with all kinds of power dynamics and it’s fascinating, but I don’t always agree with the approach it took.
