Sven: Part IV

First she had to bring him a souvenir from her vacation, then she ended up having to spend extra time with him to make up for “dates” she had missed.

They met up regularly and everything seemed to be going well, until the first time Alicea had to cancel…

Alicea knew it was her fault they hadn’t hung out, but she hoped if she just avoided the topic, Sven wouldn’t press her for an explanation.

Alicea thought Sven had changed in the years since they had gone to school together, but maybe he hasn’t changed as much as she thought…

“So, you can take this pen, right here,” Eddie held up a pen for the audience. “And make it float in midair, without touching it?”

“Sasha Swati Leone, do not tell me you are going to be on television!”

“Here’s my card. Call me when you’re ready to become rich and famous.”

Her mother had always told her that, above all else, she had to keep her talent a secret, and here she had completely blown it.

There is nothing but this spoon. There has never been another spoon. There will never be another spoon. Everything is in that spoon.

I don’t know what they were smoking when they thought some divine being was talking to them, but clearly they didn’t get everything right.
