Jerk.
How can you say such a thing?
How can you constantly belittle me so?
How can you expect me to go on like this?

Jerk.
Because of the things I say.
Because of the things I do.
Because of every little thing that annoys you.

Jerk.
You said it at home.
You said it in front of our friends.
You even said it in front of our families.

Jerk.
I tried to be a good partner.
I tried not to hurt you, but
I could never escape from that word.

Jerk.
We never fought.
We just acted like it wasn’t there.
We tried to move on without it.

Jerk.
It was the one constant.
It was always there.
It resurfaced with every mistake I made.

Jerk.
This can’t go on.
This isn’t what I want.
This is the end.
