This book was adorable and the artwork is gorgeous. Turns out Wang wrote the story and did the artwork herself!

It’s the classic fake-dating-to-real-dating trope with a touch of the enemies-to-lovers trope and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I wasn’t thrilled about Menon using the same conceit she used in her first book, but I still enjoyed this one as much as the prequel.

I didn’t get most of the Bollywood references in this book, but that’s OK because if you’ve seen one romcom, you’ve seen them all.

Despite my determination to stick to comfort reads this year, I somehow keep ending up with books that feature dead moms.
