Convenience Store Woman

I think this book might have been a bit overhyped by some of my friends, but the more I think about it, the more I realize I did enjoy it.

This novella was my first experience with Nora Ephron’s writing, and combined with Meryl Streep’s narration, it’s a perfect summer read.

I had never heard of this novella by J. Sheridan Le Fanu, which apparently predates, and almost undoubtedly inspired Dracula.

Kind of like “Girl, Interrupted,” but a rehab clinic instead of a mental institution and the main character knows she needs help.

This is the first David Mitchell book I’ve read and I’m totally hooked!
