Evvie Drake Starts Over

I first got to know Linda Holmes as a podcaster, but I was delighted to get to know her as a novelist and romance writer!

I had heard good things about this book, but I wasn’t prepared for how it sucked me into the lives of these characters, who all felt so real.

This historical fiction novel is fun and fast paced and I enjoyed every page of it, even if the rest of my book club is a bunch of party poopers.

I didn’t love this audiobook about Zelda Fitzgerald, but I did enjoy it and I learned a lot about the most famous couple of the Jazz Age.

Ness does an excellent job of portraying mental illness in this YA novel.

The concept is interesting, but the prose could have been better written.

I didn’t love the story, but I am very glad I listened to the audiobook, because it’s a treasure all by itself.

I would go so far as to say Joe Hill an even better writer than his father.

This is the first David Mitchell book I’ve read and I’m totally hooked!

I’m finally ready to read Scalzi’s new book that just came out!
