I picked this up as a Halloween read, but it’s more Christmas themed than I had been expecting it to be.

For a book about a plague, it got creepy in a psychological way that I had not been expecting.

After their father’s brutal murder, the Locke children move to an old house in Massachusetts that’s full of magical keys. What’s not to love?

I would go so far as to say Joe Hill an even better writer than his father.
