Ghosts and Hairbrushes: Part VII

All the lights went out and the figure Stacie had seen at the foot of her bed last night appeared in the middle of the kitchen.

“This is not a game! The ghosts have your hairbrush, and now they have access to you. That’s what you saw last night.”

“I never said anything about the house being haunted,” I told my sister. “But after having seen that, I’m not so sure.”

“I’m not tired. Well, I am, but that doesn’t mean I lit the stove and then forgot about it. I know I didn’t light it.”

Why would I have put the forks and spoons in one drawer and the knives in another drawer on the other side of the room?
