I only had the vaguest idea of what this book was about before diving in, and although it wasn’t what I expected, I really enjoyed it.

A Christmas Carol
I read this book as a kid and remember it being very different from my favorite film adaptation, but it turned that’s not the case at all.
The Woman in White
I’m not sure why this book is always classified as horror since there’s nothing paranormal about it. I can see it being classified as a mystery, although I felt it was much longer than it needed to be.
Behind a Mask
If Little Women or Agnes Grey is too sweet for you, I recommend Behind a Mask because it is anything but sweet!
Agnes Grey
I didn’t love this book, but I liked it, and I certainly found it interesting to see how Anne grew as a writer.
Northanger Abbey
I don’t care what you say, I think Henry Tilney is one of the best Austen heroes! He’s sweet, funny, and not afraid to meet Catherine on her level.
Mansfield Park
