This is the fifth part in a series, so if you have not already done so, you might want to read Part I, Part II, Part III and Part IV before continuing.
Sandra was paying more attention to her phone than where she was going as she walked down the hall of her school. After all, she knew the place like the back of her hand, and had no reason to suspect Chris would grab her and pull her into a deserted classroom where he had already pulled down the blinds on all the windows. He slammed the door behind her, shoved her up against the door and kissed her so fiercely Sandra forgot she was supposed to resist.
When Chris pulled away, she was too bewildered to say anything. He saw the arousal written all over her flushed face and grinned. “You told me I would get my next kiss when I got promoted.”
Sandra’s eyes cleared and then widened as realization dawned. “You got promoted?”
“You know it.”
“Already?”
“Already? What do you mean ‘already?’ I’ve had to wait a whole month for that kiss. Please don’t tell me I have to wait a whole month to get another one.”
“Depends on the promotion.”
“Personal assistant.”
Sandra jumped up and wrapped her arms around his neck and squeezed so hard he was afraid he was going to pass out.
“If I had known you got this excited about personal assistants, I would have become one a long time ago.”
“Don’t you see? This position is perfect. You’ll learn the ins and outs of the entire business. You’ll know everything he does, how he does it, why he does it, and you’ll get to know everyone he knows. And you’ll get to know their assistants, and after you’ve been in this job for a while, you’ll understand that those are the real people in power. He’s basically set you up to be his successor.”
Chris wrinkled his nose. “But he’s not planning on retiring anytime soon, is he? How long will I have to be a personal assistant?”
Sandra shrugged. “We can worry about that after you’ve learned the ropes of this job. In the meantime, you cheated.”
“How did I cheat?”
“The deal was that I give you your next kiss after you got promoted.”
“Yeah, that’s why I kissed you.”
“Ah, but that’s the problem. The deal was not for you to kiss me when you got promoted.”
Chris smiled as understanding dawned. He leaned in until his forehead was just an inch from hers. “Have I been a bad boy?”
Sandra was unable to do anything but bite her lower lip and nod her head.
Chris tilted his head so his mouth was just a breath away from hers when he said, “What are you going to do about it?”
“I…” Sandra moaned.
“Yes?” Chris drawled.
“I still owe you a kiss.”
“You do?”
She nodded, then grabbed the back of his head with both hands and pulled him in for another deep, long kiss.
To be continued…
